Dr Abhishek Verma meets Shri Arun Govil MP who played the character of Lord Ram in Ramayana: Dec 7, 2025

Dr Abhishek Verma had a warm and cordial meeting with Shri Arun Govil, Hon’ble Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) from Meerut, who is revered across India for portraying Lord Shri Ram in the iconic Ramayana television series of the 1990s. During the meeting, Dr Verma presented Shri Arun Govil with a copy of the Ramcharitmanas as a mark of respect and shared faith.

The two leaders spoke at length about issues of public welfare and the larger good of society. In the course of their conversation, Dr Verma fondly recalled that his maternal grandmother, Late Kamla Choudhary, had also served as Member of Parliament from Meerut in the 1950s and 1960s.

डॉ. अभिषेक वर्मा ने मेरठ से लोकसभा सांसद और 1990 के दशक की प्रतिष्ठित धारावाहिक रामायण में भगवान श्रीराम की भूमिका निभाकर घर घर में पूज्य बने श्री अरुण गोविल जी से सौहार्दपूर्ण और आत्मीय मुलाकात की। इस अवसर पर डॉ. वर्मा ने श्रद्धा और सम्मान स्वरूप श्री अरुण गोविल जी को रामचरितमानस की प्रति भेंट की।

बैठक के दौरान दोनों नेताओं ने लोककल्याण, समाज के व्यापक हित और सार्वजनिक जीवन के प्रश्नों पर सार्थक चर्चा की। वार्तालाप के बीच डॉ. वर्मा ने भावुक होकर उल्लेख किया कि उनकी नानी, स्वर्गीय कमला चौधरी, 1950 और 60 के दशक में मेरठ से सांसद रही थीं.
