MRS VEENA VERMA DEPARTED FOR HEAVENLY ABODE

1st September 1941 - 6th February 2024

The family of Mrs Veena Verma mourned her passing on February 6th, 2024, at 3:14 am, after she courageously battled age-related multiple illnesses. She passed away at Max Hospital, Saket, New Delhi, surrounded by loved ones.

Born on September 1st, 1941, Mrs Veena Verma lived a life of remarkable dedication to public service. In 1967, she married famous writer and poet Shrikant Verma, and together they embarked on a distinguished career as Members of the Indian Parliament, serving the nation for decades. Their unwavering commitment to the well-being of their constituents left an indelible mark on Indian politics.

Beyond her political achievements, Mrs Veena Verma was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. She cherished her family above all else, and her warmth and kindness touched the lives of everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her son, Abhishek Verma, his wife Anca Verma, and their daughter, Nicolle Verma and all other family members and friends of Verma family.

The Last Rites and Cremation of Mrs Veena Verma were held on February 7, 2024 (Wednesday) from 2 PM onwards at Lodhi Road Cremation Ground in New Delhi.
